Hello, I am a professional 3d artist working in the Film/visual effects industry for the last 7 years, and I am working with Rhythm and Hues studios as a senior modeler. Along with organic modeling and sculpting I equally enjoy doing hard surface models. Besides my professional work, I keep on learning new things and doing personal artwork in my free time, my main focus being cg characters. The entire process right from modeling, texturing to the final rendering is quite interesting.

Experience with Mudbox: I am using Mudbox since its version 1, it has always been a very important application in my workflow. Learning Mudbox was pretty fast, as it had the same navigation like Maya, and an excellent layer system like Photoshop. Easy navigation, quick brush control, real perspective camera, real time shadows, proper working layers for sculpting and texturing, texture channels, robust connectivity with Maya and now FBX support and posing are the most important things for my character creation workflow as well as for any pipeline and that’s the reason I enjoy using Mudbox. In terms of pure digital sculpting the kind of natural falloff which Mudbox gives me while changing forms with its grab brush, is the best and the most natural I have ever experienced as compared to any digital sculpting package in the market, and it’s quite fast for me to quickly change forms and block out things at initial base levels, and for further refining it has a good bunch of sculpting brushes too. It has been a great experience using Mudbox and it’s good to see it evolving and improving with new tools and features and in the right direction.
