DETAIL DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with each project's Senior Producer and studio production staff to facilitate organization and project planning - including estimating, task assignment, scheduling, resourcing, and workflow management. Follow the accepted processes and standards defined by studio production management.
Hire, review, and mentor project leads and individual artists. Attract, develop, and retain top-talent within the industry to insure that the Studio maintains the highest possible standards for art in its games.
Support the creative vision of each project's Creative Director and, in turn, each project Art Director, to insure that the efforts of the artists are consistent with that vision.
Initiate research and implementation of new techniques to improve visual quality of art or cost-effectiveness of art production.
Represent art disciplines in studio management strategic planning, scheduling, and budgeting. Provide guidance to Director of Product Development to insure that the needs of art disciplines are being met.
Represent their art discipline in Worldwide Studios information exchanges. Maintain a visible presence in the computer graphics and game industries, representing Worldwide Studios interests with a high degree of professionalism.
Execute any and all other assigned duties to ensure the success of our Studio projects.
Qualifications
Must have the necessary skills and knowledge to manage a team of artists from one or more core disciplines: visual development, environment, special effects, character modeling, animation, or cinematics. Knowledge of the terminology and processes associated with these departments is a plus
Excellent understanding of how their art discipline functions within our studio art pipeline and how to organize and supervise artists to accomplish their assignments.
Possess strong artistic and technical skills in 3D computer graphics production.
Extremely organized in the areas of 3D art asset development workflow, and in the advent of future developments, must possess the knowledge of how best to implement those changes. Must have a basic understanding of production and be able to schedule, communicate and monitor tasks.
Must have 5+ years experience in HD computer graphics production and supervised a medium to large sized team (20+ people). Should have hands-on art production experience on at least one "AAA" commercially released videogame.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
